The convergence of river and Gulf waters creates a rich ecosystem, making it a prime spot for a variety of fish species. Yellowfin tuna is the prized catch here, with blackfin tuna also present. Venice is known as the "Tuna Capital of the World."
Wahoo, mahi-mahi, and kingfish add to the excitement, offering thrilling fishing experiences and delicious rewards.
The fishing season in Venice is excellent year-round, with different species peaking at various times.
The fall and winter months are ideal for giant tuna, while spring through fall is the best time for marlin and kingfish. Mahi-mahi are most active in the summer.

Venice offers exceptional inshore and nearshore fishing opportunities that are often overlooked. The marshy coastlines and waterways provide a diverse fishery, including redfish, speckled trout, sheepshead, black drum, and tarpon.
